TOMSON VOCATIONAL TRAINING INSTITUTE (Est. 1958) From Late Mr. Thomas Rodrigo (Father), Late Mr. Ignatius (Son) took forward Tomson Institute with great care and took personal interest in training young and prepare them for successful careers in the field of Motor Rewinding trade until his demise in year 2010. Although Mr. Ignatius Rodrigo is no more with us his vision is being carried out and further strengthen and expanded to meet the future demands. Our institute provides training for School leavers, professionals and non professionals in rewinding and repairing of Motors, Generators, Transformers and other equipment. While the course content is comprehensive and detailed, the classes are limited to small batches to ensure personal attention. We maintain a 40% - 60% ratio of time spent in class work and exercises respectively. Full documentation in the two media English and Sinhala is distributed to all trainees. While bout 100 trainees are admitted annually, several onsite training courses are also held on an island wide basis. Sri Lanka's pioneer Motor Rewinding Training Institute. Over 4000 local and foreign students who are employed in the private and government sector as well as abroad have qualified at our Training Institute. We are registered with National Apprentice & Industrial Training Authority ( N. A. I. T. A. ), Tertiary & Vocational Education Commission ( T. V. E. C. ) and Institute for Construction Training & Development ( I. C. T. A. D. ).
